Middleton needed Holt playing behind him from the start. Plenty fans predicted this on different forums before the game.
What worries me is this. I'm watching that and after 20 minutes I'm thinking it's not working. After 30 minutes I'm thinking we're getting beat 3-0 here. So why did the coach not make the defensive changes needed at 30 minutes? Graham on for Gallagher, back 4, strengthen that left side where we're getting ripped a new one. Is he frightened to upset Gallagher by hooking him on the half hour?
I've been very supportive of JG but that's twice now he's failed to make the required changes early enough.

I know the club has to make money but honestly why do we even need a third strip? We're either at home or we're away from home, so what's the shirt for? In case we meet up on a pub car park halfway or something? Pub car park is where that defensive performance belonged right enough!

It was weird one yesterday. We played well and were unlucky.

The defence was bad. Manny has been great but he was at fault for some of the goals.

I don?t think shape the problem. We were by far the better team in second half. Hit bar at 3-2 and I still think their 4th was a handball

Middleton did not do well defensively esp on first goal but he created a lot going forwards

I think we will need obviously to be more defensively minded for Celtic

It?s been a strong season and we have been unlucky last couple of matches

Apparently (and this really isn’t a joke) it’s one referee, one nominated Club rep (it’s on a rotational basis) and 3 further A.N. Others who could be anyone from a pundit, a reporter, an ex player or some punter dragged off the street. The qualifying factor is though that none of the latter are actually qualified officials. I fell off my chair when I heard it - no wonder Scottish Football is a joke around the world.
