Remind everyone about MK, and forget about Salford
I did enjoy the part of the commentary yesterday where (I think it was this way round) BG said "not many orange shirts visible among the Notts supporters" to which Stall responded "yeah, I think they've all got coats on"...

I managed to catch the last hour on someone else's dodgybox and thought we looked a class above them. We should have been ahead before Abbott scored and though they had a few shots at 0-1 Bass dealt with them pretty comfortably. It was a real team performance where every player did their job well. A few comments from their board:

Despite us being utterly woeful, I thought they were brilliant. By far the best team to come to StadMK this season. Their movement and passing was tearing us apart and it looked easy for them. Our players should be embarrassed about how the Notts players made them look.

They had a game plan and the quality of their players made it work. We looked like an average L2 team and didn't have the answers to the threats they posed.

They were superb until the final third. Should've been 6.

They were very good. We just couldn't get out for the vast majority of the first half.

I don't think we have ever been dominated as much that in L2 in Le Stad.

We definitely need more of it. We were beyond poor at Salford but I certainly don?t sign up to we?ve been dire a lot of the times.
I would say mostly we?ve played decent expansive football for the majority of the season but have been totally toothless at times and I?d say that?s due to personnel more than SM.
As for league is it poor/bang average? or have most teams invested more now there?s no teams massively spending and we?re left with a league with teams not that far apart ability wise as the league table suggests? I honestly don?t know the answer to that one.

I was unimpressed against Bradford, similar to when people talk about false dawns, and I expected nothing against the franchise, but I thought yesterday was our best performance of the year so far.

The energy and willingness to pass forward was so much better, helped of course by Dan Crowley playing further forward (who also looked very happy to be playing for Notts).

It?s a funny old game ain?t it. Well done to SM and his team because Salford looked like the wheels were falling off.

To say Walsall are 9 points clear I thought they were bang average when we played them, even though I accept they might say they had an off day.

Yesterday was the best league 2 performance I?ve seen from anyone this season. We?ve been lucky in the fact that no three teams have been good enough to pull away during the course of our poor run, I think promotion is absolutely there for the taking now if we can anywhere near maintain the level of yesterday.

If we can maintain that pattern and enthusiasm along with JJ and the others coming back I see no reason why we can't be pushing for top spot (he says).

We look set fair for JJ's return

In stark contrast to last season when it was so bloody hot in that away end that it peeled the sponsor's name off my shirt!

The teams were not as evenly matched as the report and statistics suggest.
Rather disappointed with MKD and I wouldn't say that any one of their players performed better than anyone in a Notts shirt.
In fact 27 White was named MOM by the home sponsors, when McGill the GK made three crucial saves and probably should have been chosen.
Another game where Notts should have had 5 or 6 goals with better finishing and more positive decision making. Plenty of possession but the final ball and a reluctance to take shooting opportunities, when players had a clear sight of goal, were spurned in pursuit of perfection.
Still , a very competent performance by Macari , Platt and Bedeau, reliably assured by good keeping from Bass merited a clean sheet and three precious points on the road. Boundless energy too from Didzy cavorting the pitch like a spring lamb.
All the starting 11 merited at least a 7 rating , with Abbott and Crowley vying for MOM.
