Chicks is a proper pro and rarely had a bad game for Notts and was always 100% committed when playing so its good to see he?s getting game time somewhere else.

Glad you said that matt because I agree with you. The only issue was he couldn't play the WB role (same as Nemane) but when he did get to the line he put some good crosses in.

Yep he was a leftback being asked to play WB. He was defensively strong but had his limitations going forward but rarely gave the ball away. He was barracked by some for passing back but if he knew he couldn?t dribble past the player what was the point of trying it other than losing the ball.

This^^^ Good defender is Chicks, not so good as a wing back. Best of luck to the lad.

Exactly. Adam Chicksen was criminally underused until Luke Williams somehow turned him into a goal scoring wingback. The NL may be his level, but I will have nothing but fond memories of his time in a Notts shirt.

Yes, it was good to see a written-off player work so hard to prove himself. 11 goals in our promotion season was an unbelievable return.
We needed a good LWB to work LW's system. Chicks gave us that despite not being a LWB at all really. Massive contribution to us getting out of NL.

Not many teams play full-backs these days, but he could've provided cover for LCB even now and he wouldn't have let us down. Best for him he keeps on playing though.
