I really hope we can keep Humphreys and that he proves to be consistently successful as a defensive midfielder because then maybe, just maybe, we will play more through midfield and cut down on the usual hoofball rubbish.
I hope Cam stays on, but given how we're doing I'd only want him to extend and stay. Him sticking it out until May just leaves a big hole to fill and a board who prefer to do that cheaply.

    Saturday will tell us more.
So what did the last game against Huddersfield tell us .. because apparently they were going to run us ragged last time .

What's new about that pal? Cheap and cheerful as always but, you pay out to your means and don't get into debt just for football.

Early season game at home didn't tell us much did it?
Surely you've noticed we're not usually very good away and Huddersfield have moved into the play off positions while we are floundering at the other end of the table.
Let's see what happens on Saturday, that's providing the game will be on which must be in doubt if the weather forecast is correct.

Football is slightly different given the likelihood of an owner selling up to make a vast return on the investment rather than a steady profit annually. It's well worn ground, but I don't think the sporadic flurry of investments made have given us what more consistent, smaller amounts to the same overall value would. I've seldom replaced an outgoing team member to find a better, cheaper option coming in and mostly end up losing out one way or t'other. Keeping the good ones though, that's almost always a winner. But hey, I've only had a decent career and never a business of my own, so many see that experience as invalidating that opinion.

I just think if he stays there should be an investment made in him to make that calibre of player central to the club's plans, irrespective of manager, owner, COO, or any other role which has been speculated on.
