For that I am forever thankful to this young man.

Agree 100% infact I'm still very thankful for him hitting the back of the net from the spot

    Classy message from him

?From missing a penalty in the biggest game of non-league history to sending us back to the Football League with the winning penalty at Wembley in the play-off final, followed by a serious, season-long knee injury and off-field struggles, I'll be eternally grateful to have shared these times with you all and those memories will live with me forever.

?This has been an incredibly hard decision to make but one I feel is right for me at this moment in my career and life. It has been nothing but an honour to wear the famous black and white for this historic club and something I never took for granted.

?I was lucky to work under two great managers in Luke Williams and Stuart Maynard who were both great with me during my time ? and obviously not forgetting one of best people l've worked with, Jim O'Brien, both as a player and a manager. He?s someone I look up to a lot.

?The club is in great hands in Chris and Alex, who were both great on every occasion I met them. I've played with some incredible players, some friends for life and just as importantly l've worked with some unbelievable people in the staff who work at the club that really are the heartbeat.

?I'd also like to show my appreciation and gratitude to Richard Montague, Joe Palmer and Jenni Short who have been nothing but unbelievably supportive of me every step of the way and people I will remain in touch with. They aren't only great at their job, they are genuine and great people as well.

?Finally, l'd just like to wish the club all the best in the future. I would love to see you playing in League One next season and believe this is entirely possible under this manager and the current squad.

    ?See you soon. You Pies.?

Absolutely agree with the big gratitude to Scott.....that shot will stay with me forever...I watched it so many times and the ball got closer to their goalie every time...and still does.
Good luck Cedwyn and thank you.

Good luck Cedwyn I really hope you are able to kick on now at your new club. You deserve every success and gave us some incredible memories at Notts. I truly hope you score against us at ML. - albeit in a 3-1 defeat, I’ll certainly applaud.

You’re guessing / making it up aren’t you? Why would the club lie about the fee? Would Scott publish such a heartfelt message if he had an axe to grind with his employers? It hasn’t worked out for him since our promotion, he needed a new challenge and an offer came in once he was back playing, we therefore kept him out of the match day squad to allow him to remain fit before departing. All now makes sense why Maynard made some less than convincing replies about his recent absence.

I truly believe he could have been a great player for us in different circumstances. Sadly he has been dead weight for us over the last year through injuries and other issues. Hope he can be successful elsewhere but we can now move onwards and hopefully upwards with a suitable replacement.
