Nice story.....I believe he still resides in the midlands although he may not now be in great health. He was a pundit over here for Irish internationals until a few years back. One of the few who spoke about the game in a simplistic way. He never had time for showy footballers. Always banged on about doing the simple things correctly. Closing down etcetera...
I probably stopped watching internationals after he went of air.
