    Have to admit I am totally amazed how good he's turning out. Just goes to show what a decent run in a first team can do.

    Would we have ever uncovered him if Beyer & Ekdal had remained fit? And where are they going to fit in now?!

    Either way get the lad pinned down on a 5 year deal. New market value ?12m+.

    Some of the long passes he plays are out of this world and he really is brilliant at dispossessing an opposing forward running at him at pace with the ball.

    He lacks a bit of pace but Esteve covers him in that department.

    I reckon he was our 8th rated CB last season. 1)Al Dakhil, 2)Beyer, 3)Delcroix, 4)Ekdal, 5)Esteve, 6)O'Shea were all in front of him and I'm sure Kompany would have played 7)Charlie Taylor at CB in front of him if he'd needed to.
