If you understood what the literal definition of bigotry was, you would be saying that probably most of the posters on NCM could be classed as bigots.

My belief is that we are all born equally (from our mothers), and we all have the ability to do and achieve what we want - irrespective of creed or colour. You obviously strongly don't agree with that, so therefore you are being a bigot.

It kinda feels like thats where he headed to. People have always disagreed about stuff, but at least there was usually a basic set of facts that everyone relied upon and took it from there.

Not how I see it. I've visited lots of different countries and enjoyed visiting them all, but I've never for a single second been tempted to leave the country of my birth, or even the city of my birth. I love what Nottingham offers, it ticks all the boxes for what I want from life. It's been bloody cold today, but what sort of wimp runs away from a bit of cold weather?

If somebody leaves their country of birth because of the weather, except for medical reasons because of the weather, then that's a shame.

Since I've left England, I do miss the weather, but it isn't that different where I live.

The one thing I will say, is that if you never leave the place where you were born, there is so much that you've missed in life. Visiting countries is generally just a holiday. No country can be compared with regards to what you see on holiday. Only once you live there, then you see things differently.

Unless you believe in the afterlife, then life is short and to spend the one opportunity you have to experience what the world has to offer, it's unfortunate.

However, what you've never had, you'll never miss, but you will end up seeing the world like Will Hunting rather than Sean Maguire.

Don't make the common error though of confusing people who are anti-immigration and people who are anti-illegal immigration.

I'm not sure who they are - from my experience on NCM, the majority are either pro-open immigration or pro-controlled immigration.


However, you are close to a weird thing I noticed, since moving abroad.

You tend to find that people who have emigrated to another country legally, are the most ardent supporters of enforcing that country's immigration system. It may be because they have experienced the damage that an unregulated immigration system can do.
