    That was much better.
Everyone committed, everyone battling, lots of second balls won and some nice interplay at times.
    More please.

Great result that was completely justified, what the f*ck are the Bolton fans whinging for.....should have been watching us for most of the season, fair to say this little run has saved Evans` bacon, lets hope he keeps it going, never know we might start looking up soon.

Double jeopardy rule means if a penalty is awarded the player committing the foul will not get a red card.
I was an ex official and still follow the game and rules carefully and, Mellow, you're wrong.

Here's what it says about 'double jeopardy'

Players who commit a foul to deny a goalscoring opportunity will no longer automatically be sent off, football's rule-making body has confirmed. (Correct)
The previous 'triple-punishment' rule required a red card - and therefore a suspension - as well as the award of a penalty under those circumstances.

However, players committing accidental fouls that deny a goalscoring chance will now be cautioned instead but, deliberate fouls will still incur a red card. Those include holding, pulling or pushing, not playing the ball, serious foul play, violent conduct or deliberate handball in order to deny a goalscoring opportunity.

The change has been ratified by the International Football Association Board (I.f.a.b), external - a body made up of the four British football associations and Fifa - which decides on changes to the Laws of the Game.

Today we saw the example of, a deliberate foul as the player did not make contact with the ball but our player's legs. Therefore this was, as shown in blue above, denying our player a clear opportunity to score. Furthermore, having 'not played the ball'

Summed up, it was a straight red as defined by the laws above. They took longer to make a decision than VAR would and still got it wrong between them. I think neither knew what to do so 'shared it out', yellow to them and a Penalty to us. I wonder if it upset the Ref and played on his mind so much, that he had to leave the field of play and be replaced?

Enjoyed the game today 3 good points. The forward lines a lot better with out JH & JCH, get a Rod Fern type player with Nombe & he will get you 20 goals he ran Boltons defence ragged.

Very good performance and result today we seem to have stumbled on a formation/personnel that is bearing fruit however the squad is very lightweight and we desperately need reinforcements this being due to the uncertainty over Cam, Haks and the sulk on the bench Hugebill and the in and out form of JCH
I’m quite chuffed we have some grafters in the team like McWilliams and McDonald every squad needs players like this, this has been the key to the likes of Powell playing further up
Need at least 2 in this week a couple of injuries and we are up the creek so to speak, good stuff though lately

As a former referee I thought the same as Brin. The ref had dropped a ball of chalk and it was preying on his mind. He did a runner.
    It does happen.

Got 1st goal to give us confidence. What have been saying all season Odoffin he's a centre back all day long forget midfield. Powell he's the one that played today in midfield I'd say is there on merit. Cam can do a job but it's not his natural position. Mcdonald Mcwilliams we need better. Big forward as well to give us more options. Right recruitment this window I can see us in the play-offs at the end of the season.

The deliberate foul is open to interpretation. I personally think he made a genuine attempt to play the ball, he just didn?t get it. Yellow looked the correct decision to me.
