    I played in a golf match between Islay Golf Club and Kilmacolm Golf Club about 20 years.
    The Kilmacolm Golf Club member told me that he owned two pharmacies in Glasgow and he was receiving ?10,000 (ten thousand pounds) per year from the Scottish Government per pharmacy to dispense a daily swig of methadone to drug users registered with his pharmacies.
    I think it was stated on the BBC Reporting Scotland news last week that there were 100 deaths from drugs in Glasgow in 2024.
