I agree. 99% of posters on here would want a move if they were offered significantly more. I don't know of course if he has been.

I can't see why it has anything to do with his religious beliefs, although the Bible does teach that money should not be your god. There is always a time to move on though, and if DC feels it's now then so be it.

I would be really disappointed to see him leave, but this thread has made me wonder if some really deserve a talent like his at the club.

How we can turn on a player!

Essentially I agree with Jacobs comments and have done for a while and the indication has been there all season that he has wanted away. Can we do without him? Well we'll have to won't we and we'll probably be a more balanced team along with it (let's be honest about this, his positives this season are probably cancelled by his relatively negative impact and I'm sure he is playing his own game) My other initial feeling is if he doesn't want to be a Notts player get as much as you can for him and wave him goodbye.

MK Dons will be a better team with DC. The big plus side of this, for us, is that they may take more points off some of our promotion rivals. April Fools day under the lights at Meadow Lane will be interesting.
If just 2 out of the 3 new signings manage to tick the right boxes we should be more than good enough to go up.
This is going to be a really difficult period for Stuart Maynard. Losing one of our best players and integrating 3 new ones mid-season whilst still maintaining a promotion challenge is going to be hard.

We are going to see more of this. This is our model now. Splashing the cash to keep players here is a thing of the past. We buy undervalued players, get a good year or two out of them, take profit, bring the next one on the Radar list in, and repeat.

I for one am fine with this, but I'm also one of the rare people who thinks recruitment under the bros is good and doesn't want to lynch Montague.
Exactly. Fans will moan about it, but this is what it looks like when our strategy is working.

And I agree about our recruitment on the whole. The fact that Crowley was brought in as a replacement for Ruben tells you everything you need to know. Two memorable match-winners brought in for nothing. We went decades without signing players of that quality before the bros came in.

With Edwards, Grant and the two new players, we won't have a player who can run around in a circle 5 times to do a simple sideways pass but we will have players who will drive us forward with pace which is where we are most dangerous
Ive been slated for saying what i have said about Crowley, now it appears that i have been right all along..

That's true but at least he will have some very good players coming back to fitness at the same time as the new guys coming in
I think there is a feel good factor among the staff and playing staff at the moment
Let's hope we really push on now with everyone pulling in the same direction

Raised it before and I will continue to ask the question; I see the sense in Radar, and it has produced some quality, but I only hope that the Bros will at some stage put the brakes on the selling side and get serious about promotion.

You dont sell a key player to a rival at this stage of the season. 300K is less than what we could expect to earn from being promoted with bigger crowds, more tv money etc and with Crowley in the side admittedly there is no guarantee of promotion we stand a far greater chance.
Our results were poor to say the least when he was out injured in October and November and yes I know so were others at this same time.
We dont have a player that offers what Crowley does if SM plays him in the correct position in terms of goals and assists. The two new lads have very little experience to tell what they can offer, Edwards is 31 and had never played EFL before this season and the jury must be out still on what he can offer after a lengthy injury hampering his season, Grant to me is a poor player, a Kairo Mitchell type signing.
We would have to pay decent money to replace Crowley and hope whoever it is can hit the ground running.

I think they do/will do that unless the price is too much to ignore (RR for example), that said selling to a promotion rival does not sit well with me.
