Don't know if you've noticed but he's started using phrases like "if I get my way" which could be interpreted as he's covering his back if certain things do or don't happen (ie that decision was taken against my wishes).
For example he said "If I get my way Cam Humphreys won't be leaving."
I'm beginning to wonder if we should be concerned that he's saying these things to forewarn supporters because he knows there will be some unpopular decisions or minimum activity in this transfer window.

We have had a lot of activity 5 players left and the return of a loan player by the other club.Evans stated that his bench last night had a couple of academy players (his words) to fill the bench. He is referring to Hatton and Hull, so it is fair to guess he doesn't see them as main squad players. At the moment if we got a couple more injuries we would struggle to have a full match day squad and yet we hear the phrase 2 or 3 potential incomings.
