Maybe it's called giving someone some support. It is what SUPPORTERS are supposed to do. Especially when it is clear that the person involved is making an effort. Unless detailed inside information and analysis is advertised we can only applaud the club management.

As a youngster I was told by the music teacher (job = teach) that I was useless (cr@p in your words) and not included in anything other than the occasional ding of the triangle. In later years I picked up classical guitar up to around Grade 5 and did a couple of small recitals. I went to singing classes at the age of 50+ and whilst I'm no Bing Crosby the tutor made me focus on my breathing - people often sing flat not because they are tone deaf but because they've run out of puff.

I would have been a much better musician had I not lost those early years with an inferiority complex in music.

You weren't that music teacher by any chance were you?

Highly recommend A Complete Unknown which we saw last week. Think it's out in the UK this weekend. Maybe not for the Dylan purists, but incredible singing/guitar performance by Timothy Chalamet, and Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez - what a voice!!!
