Whether it is 7 or 13 though really does change the context. Yes he is only 27 but it is over 10 years.

Compare that to McGoldrick who is 10 years older and played for less clubs, even coming back "home" to us when he could have stayed with Derby for at least 1 more season, tell me which one is the true professional. DC's statement said "Playing football at Notts helped me fall in love with football again" which indicates he has had some form of issue with the game where he was difting in a downward spiral (wasn't Ruben on a similar path before joining us). Think we are a good nurturing club and that can get lost in a players ego, especially when agents have their ear.
In that case, DM has played for 7 different clubs. True professional - what does that make Sam Slocombe who is almost as old but has only played for 5? 7 different clubs really is not unusual these days.

No issue with Slocombe from that point if view, confused what he has to do with this though. I would argue that 7 (or 13 depending on your viewpoint) different clubs in 10/11 years is a lot even by today's standards, we had plenty of those a few seasons back and called them journeymen.

The club would have got no transfer fee and he could have got a bigger signing on fee plus a higher wage.?
Yes a nasty horrible man obviously..!
Personally I think we both got a result..good luck DC, thanks for the memories.

Why not a welcome back tackle this season

Of course loan moves count. It's an indicator of a players experience, ability or temperament. In this case temperament seems to be the case, if you take the time to read his Wiki page (yes I know, it's trial by Wiki) you will see that several times his attitude is questioned, he even mentions it himself "In a 2018 interview, Crowley admitted that his inability to handle being left out of the team caused a problem: "I started to fall out with people because I wasn't playing. I was getting on the gaffer's nerves and he just said 'You have got to go'." He has moved around so much for a reason.
Don't get me wrong, I wish he had stayed and become a friggin Notts legend, he's that good, but he decided it was time for him to put NCFC behind him.

No doubt Matty Platt will relish the challenge.
Walsall's loanee Nathan Lowe was well and truly "Platted " and didn't look too keen for a while afterwards. Unfortunately he had one chance and scored the winner.

Now that Lowe has been recalled by Stoke I see that Walsall have Freddie Draper returning for another loan period from Lincoln City.

What a nice surprise to hear that MK had lost today. Maybe Crowley wasnt counting on getting promoted this season..

We are better without him much quicker. Let's not waste any more air time in him. We made a profit, he has made his bed , now let him lie in it!
