The USA also pays a disproportionate amount to fund a lot of world bodies. Pulling funding from the WHO is an interesting first shot no doubt designed to make other countries pay their share.

The tariffs force predatory countries like China to the table. The cutting off of money to WHO and UN force restructuring of this corrupt and incompetent organizations. Many Americans don't care if they dissolve. They showed their "usefulness" during covid and the countless wars going on. The concept of Russia being on the peacekeeping committee or Iran and North Korea being on the Human rights committee is defacto proof it's beyond repair. Blow it up and start over.

The debt bomb in the world right now is ticking and when it blows it will be "every man/woman" for themselves. I like the US chances a whole lot better under Trump than the other politicians that infest DC.

Unlike other countries your not really in debt as all the money you owe is from your own people. Unlike Australia they borrow from other countries just to screw us more and more.

Oz, thanks for correcting on debt. It's $356k per taxpayer. We have a lot of citizens that don't pay any taxes as you can see from the difference in debt per citizen vs taxpayer. We also have 24,700,000 government workers. Many could be eliminated with little or no impact on our everyday lives. In fact, many of us would enjoy a better quality of life without them. Trump is making them go back to work so we can only hope their lifes become as miserable as they make ours. Many have not reported into an office since covid began.

PS- FWIW, I think every citizen in the US should have to pay taxes. Even if they receive welfare, housing, food stamps and free utilities they should have to file and pay taxes. even it's just a $100. they need to experience the joy of trying to file taxes and if there are issues interact with the federal government. Let them experience the value they receive for paying them trillions of dollars. If they can't get it fixed let them experience the joy of trying to reach their representative or interact with the court system.

Like i said most of it is within but if you want to go further foreign 22% rest is within so about 7.5 trillion.
Every citizen? retired people would have done enough why tax them to the grave. I mean they still pay taxes when they purchase things. Trump can't win over the long haul. He'll be a flash in the pan. Really changing up the system and decentralizing the government will never be allowed to happen. Governments never give up power voluntarily. One of our founding fathers (Jefferson) wrote that the "tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants occasionally". No government ever gives up power that they have obtained without force and violence. it's been that way since history began. Covid and computers have given them power they could only dream of 25 years ago.
