It's more a case of him being challenged about it and him pointing out the plus points. He's never said that one is better than the other just they have different pros and cons. It's working fine as it is so he'll be reluctant to change back. Perhaps change mid game if things not going well. The next conundrum is how to get JJ back in with Sam and NS playing well.

He was sacked, can't recall why.

When my daughter was playing for Arnold Town against Derby County, Mick Leonard was watching but that's ten years ago or more. He was always approachable, bumped in to him in Boots once and had a really, long chat with him.

According to Wiki , Mick Leonard was regarded as the best GK in the Hong Kong 1st Division (after his many games in the FL particularly for Notts & Chesterfield) retiring in 2000 at the age of 41 after serious injury.
Having seen ML, almost "decapitated" by Walsh and Davies at Blackpool, he was fortunate to play so long. Radio commentators thought he had sustained a broken neck during the incident !
I'm not aware of any sacking incidents involving ML and why would it be a relevant issue ?

Apparently he wouldn?t let a Trainee get water in a hot preseason session abroad which I find difficult to believe as I know Mick through horse racing as we had horses with the same trainer and he never came across as a bully like the club described him like the time.

Pretty sure Mick Leonard used to post on here a while back. Gawd knows what the user name was. Or maybe it was rivals.

    From PON in 2016: https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/arti...th-club-r1121/

Notts County have settled a year-long row with their former academy manager just before the case was due to go to an employment tribunal, it has been reported.

Mick Leonard, a former goalkeeper for the Magpies and the individual who headed their youth programme, was sacked in June last year as Academy Manager for alleged gross misconduct.

According to ITV News, Leonard - who has denied any wrongdoing - appealed, but the two sides were able to reach an out of court settlement.

The sum involved hasn't been disclosed and the club has reportedly declined to make any comment.

Leonard had been coaching at Meadow Lane since 2008 prior to his dismissal.
