    Plymouth bid 750k for Jatta

Apologies if posted elsewhere. Notts said to be holding out for 1m, Bolton and Portsmouth also interested.

It's the last story on this round up:

Wow - if true that would be a very healthy profit in a short space of time. Short term very disruptive but we have to trust Radar to find another gem and we'd have money to spend to strengthen other areas as well. I'm sure some will be bleating about throwing away promotion and it could certainly be a risk but that sort of money would be hard to turn down. Not long until end of the window but I expect we've a file of possible replacements.

Surprised nobody's used the 'bedwetter' label yet.

Im bleating about it and it hasnt happened yet. One of the more notable things about Stockports, Wrexhams and Stags success last season was that they didnt sell their best players halfway through the season.

True. They also have higher wage bills than ours. We're definitely doing things differently, but if that's what it takes to achieve long-term sustainability and progression, I'm cool with it.

Will it be progression if we spend another year in league 2, just one bad season away from non league again?

I find it odd that the club values Jatta price wise more than they did Macca who had just signed a long contract and they made club captain

So maybe bleating is the wrong word and no-one wants to lose our main striker but everyone has a price whatever the position we are in the league and time of season. If you read the comments on this thread you may understand what I was saying - to me there is always overreaction to these rumours as it seems Notts supporters are finding it hard to grasp that, for once, we are a well run club and will always be able to manage following these setbacks - e.g. Roberts leaving, Wootton leaving, Ruben, Macca, Nemane and I'm sure we will cope post Crowley. So why wouldn't we cope if Jatta leaves. It doesn't mean we definitely won't get promoted, we may still get promoted but with s**t loads more money in the bank. I'd expect significantly over ?1 million to tempt us though.

We will have rebuffed offers for JJ over the summer and he even signed a new deal, Crowley was a different kettle of fish.
I don?t think Plymouth are that appetising either for Jatta their rock bottom of the champ.
If he keeps scoring he?ll probably be worth another 25% come the summer so I can?t even see where the business sense is for the bros to sell him let alone it possibly derailing a promotion push.
