Wow - if true that would be a very healthy profit in a short space of time. Short term very disruptive but we have to trust Radar to find another gem and we'd have money to spend to strengthen other areas as well. I'm sure some will be bleating about throwing away promotion and it could certainly be a risk but that sort of money would be hard to turn down. Not long until end of the window but I expect we've a file of possible replacements.

Surprised nobody's used the 'bedwetter' label yet.

Im bleating about it and it hasnt happened yet. One of the more notable things about Stockports, Wrexhams and Stags success last season was that they didnt sell their best players halfway through the season.

True. They also have higher wage bills than ours. We're definitely doing things differently, but if that's what it takes to achieve long-term sustainability and progression, I'm cool with it.

Will it be progression if we spend another year in league 2, just one bad season away from non league again?

It would be if we finish in the top 7 , compared to 14th last season. Also dont buy the ?one bad season? analogy - you have to be spectacularly bad and for the most part a basket case club at board level to go down from this league (as we were when we went).

Agree with you MED PIE, it would be a very negative move from the club, and IMO will be seen as a lack of ambition by many supporters. I have read a number of times that gaining promotion is worth over a million, no Jatta, no promotion we are struggling now if he or McGoldrick dont play and goals will be hard to find, as would a replacement at this point in time. AJ has shown no desire to leave so this is totally about money in the bank, Vs a good chance of promotion!
Think hard Bros, what does AJ want, and IMO if you sell, you loose supporters, and create a negative attmosphere.

That's not what people were saying towards the end of last season when Maynard couldn't buy a win.

If we finish higher than 13th, yes.
