I don’t know about the owners but they did shed loads of managers. Brentford spent 12 years in the old division 4 1966/78 and had 10 managers, they then spent 14 years in div. 3 and had 6 managers.
Burnley spent 7 years in div.4 1985/92 and had 5 managers and nearly went out of existence.
Brighton spent 2 seasons in division 4 and 10 years in division.3 had 6 managers and had no ground for a while.
Bournemouth did far better only using 3 managers in div. 4 75/78 and div.3 83/87. But they were deducted points and again were nearly relegated to non league, plus they have survived on crowds of 11,000 and less.
So it’s possible for sides like us to progress but I agree you need good owners.

We have to make the most of it while we can.

Not at the expense of a promotion push.

Being left with an (albeit extremely talented) 37 year old up front to deal with the workload almost entirely alone is not an acceptable state of affairs.

This board again, is a bit like that last poster, very slow................
?Screw you?, ?Imbecile?, ?Very slow?, big talk for someone who got his knickers in a twist about being called a downer 😂 - you are quite a strange fella.

Positive thing is you are the outlier on this board. Most Notts fans understand good players leaving will be adequately replaced. Just as you were probably crying on here about Macca leaving, you cry about his replacement leaving (potentially).

Foresight doesnt seem to be your forte.

Agreed, we need to add to the front line if anything. Sounds like SM still wants a couple in, if we end the window with AJ and a new option upfront we are in for a great end to the season.

Sorry I did not think you would be offended by me using that well known general term to suggest someone is overly negative or pessimistic.

Doubt many want our best players to leave but many realise that every player has its price and shows the benefits of our recruitment

If AJ sticks around and we get promoted, I wonder if he'd be tempted to stay on improved terms. I'm confident he'd be decent striker in L1. As for the Championship, who knows. He's better equipped than Macca to succeed there, but he could also end up just sitting on the bench and wasting his best years.

I wouldn't apologise - those in glass houses and all that.

There?s no way we?d sell Jatta and not bring someone else in.

Not long until end of the window but I expect we've a file of possible replacements.
Bleating about promotion? God almighty why don't you just wave a white flag and keep on nodding
