Well, at least a couple of people have said that they consider that finishing 13th, would equate to progress...................

Don't think anyone has directly said they believe 13th would be considered progress (I?ve said top 7 is progress). But factually 13th is progress compared to a 14th place finish - the fact you cant see that, after calling other people on this board ?slow? is quite something.

Seemingly the same posters were saying the lack of ambition in the transfer market, and sticking with the BT Engineer would mean we?d never be in with a shout of promotion. All that happens when time proves them wrong is they move the goalposts to make the same point.
Agreed - the points many made that were called ?happy clappers? in summer about great defensive recruitment, AJ being the Macca replacement, and getting a kid from spurs on loan being positive (people were bringing up Jaden Warner at the time) are now universally acknowledged by most on this board. But instead of trusting the owners who clearly know what they are doing , those who think they know best move the goalposts again.

We will want a lot more than 750k to let AJ go in January
Very few players at L2 level have release clauses in their contracts

If Plymouth are getting the reported ?5-6M for their player and they need Jatta to complete the deal, then we hold (almost) all the aces here now. They need a replacement and because they are dumb enough to mention amounts on offer we know what they have incoming and can at least squeeze every penny out of them should we sell. Still would prefer him to stay but if not lets screw them over as much as possible.

It's factually correct based entirely on numbers. But when you compare the strength of League 2 last season and this, it's a load of bollox.

There are some on here would be happy to see us dragging on in league 2 for all eternity " as long as the club stays afloat ! " And will happily see all our players sold even at the cost of promotion. I am not one of those and it's very short sighted. Whatever we get for Jatta ( if he goes ) will pale into insignificance compared to the cost of missing out on league 1 and all it's benefits. I'm sure after making these comments I'll be called " a bed wetter " or other disparaging remarks. Football is also an entertainments business and if we don't go up and weaken the side we will lose some of the gates we have had this year as well as bigger gates and bigger share of pot in league 1. So please let's not sell him now but wait till at least end of season so we can assess once the dust has settled

If this is a binary option and the alternative is the club not staying afloat, I'd be one of the "some on here" you refer to.
