If you like mushy peas give pastizzi a go - found em out on holiday in Malta. Basically pastry parcels filled with mushy peas done with a bit of curry powder. Stick one in your pocket for match day.
I like having sauces with something other than the usual - if I've made peppercorn sauce or marie rose sauce they go with a lot more than steak or prawns.
And someone got me a flavour pairing book which is a bit confusing but did lead to making a nice mix of brazil nut, mushroom, soy sauce and smoky chilli that I put on top of something.
