Unfortunately Florist are starting to look odds on for European football of some sort next season, even possibly Champions League. The local and regional media are already in overdrive.
The effect is that all other clubs around are already having much reduced coverage. What it might be like next season God knows?
We have to try and raise our profile and achieving promotion would be a big morale booster. Something for Notts fans to be proud of and happy about whilst the Red Dogs swagger around.
Keeping Jatta doesn?t guarantee promotion but losing him certainly doesn?t help. It has to be worth the risk.
Or we could settle for financial security and 4th tier mediocrity.
Good point. Also, we've benefited over the past couple of seasons with floating fans unable to get tickets for Florist games, coming over to us. Red Dog tickets will be even harder to get the more successful they are, so the more successful we are as well, should see us picking up more support, maybe pushing us towards 15k over the next 2-3 seasons

    You are utterly insufferable.

Do I think potentially selling Jatta is a wrong move? Absolutely. I think it would be a massive own goal and I would like to think the brothers have too much sense to let it happen.

I generally do not take the view that the owners lack ambition. Do I think mid-steps have been made? Yes. Do I have the odd concern about the club? Certainly - as I am sure does 99% or the fan base, however I do not think the club lacks ambition.

Off you pop back up your ivory tower and polish your cones.

I'm sure we don't want to sell AJ but the offers may eventually become too stupid to refuse

Has to be a stupid offer for me, ?1.5m plus but even then I still think holding onto him makes more sense both squad wise and financially.
Selling Macca was less of an issue, we play only one No 9, we had already seen Jatta could do it, Didzy could play at there if required and probably most of us thought as a third choice Scott could probably do it at the time and the fact them 2 have banged in so many goals proves the decision was right.
If they sell him now it would be a massive risk and just don?t believe they?ll do it as the opportunity is so high at the moment to get promoted.

Also strong interest from Portsmouth apparently, my pompey mate just asked me about him.

Just hope no matter what happens the lad bangs in the goals whilst he?s still with us.

I trust in the radar and the bros. They?ve got significantly more right than wrong. So if they sell him it will almost certainly be the best deal for the club overall.

I'd say that level of stupid yes
But I hope not and I don't think AJ is agitating like Dan and even Macca were
Especially as I think Macca is suffering buyer's remorse...
