Said that need a natural wide right player & a forward with some height then you'd get more out of Nombe.

Who is responsible for hoofball - the manager or the players?

I can't imagine the players would start lofting the ball forward if the manager had told them to play out from the back when possible. So it has to be an Evans' tactic, doesn't it?

Could Steve Evans be getting his Tactic's, mixed up with his Tic-tac's

Well it certainly was the tactic for the first half of the season but it looked as though things had changed for the better in recent matches.
Maybe it was just misplaced optimism on our part but tomorrow might tell us more.

If I remember correctly, Cambridge United FC had quite a few players over the
6 foot mark, so no good using the tactic of hoof-ball against them.

    Happy days
Isn't that what they now call 'Dinosaur football '?

Yes call it Dinosaur football, if you want

    But -

The old saying, todays footballers couldn't land the then laced football, to
reach the 18 yard line from a corner.

Tell that to Nottingham Forest because they haven't done too badly this season playing that way.
It's much more entertaining than Pep's painting by numbers robotic football that everybody seems so keen to copy.
