Some of our defending was absolutely woeful at times and I mean truly shocking. Ball watching, flat footed and uninspiring to say the least. Kids stuff. At times, I find it difficult to believe that some of our defenders are professional footballers- its the basics they get wrong and they do it time and time again. It was a stupid lunge by Roberts too for the red card although I wouldn't personally give a red card for that. However, it is the modern rules.

Phillips miss was a bad un, so too Earl from the set piece at the beginning of the second half. Golden chances wasted.

At the end of the day we got deservedly beaten by a more cohesive, organised and harder working side. Their manager plays to his squads strength. We don't, it's as simple as that.

It was a valiant effort with 10 men but let's be honest, the game could've been over by then anyway.
