Charlton record an excellent 2 - 0 win against Bristol Rovers at the Valley Tuesday night. And move within a point of the play-offs.
Matty Godden and Josh Edwards (his first goal for the club) scored in the first half. Thierry Small, Macaulay Gillesphey and Daniel Kanu all had good chances as did Godden again. The Bristol Rovers goal keeper worked very hard but had a good game in making save after save.
Ashley Maynard-Brewer only had one save to make in the first half and was rarely troubled in keeping a clean sheet. And to cap the good news, Lloyd Jones, who has been outstanding in defence since his return, has now signed a new contract with the Addicks.
Charlton goals: Godden 13, Edwards 36
