Definitely need a midfielder who can work the ball forward and feed the the forward line. We cannot rely on the back line to do this.
Having said that, the 2 wing backs have been generally less progressive in the last few games.
So Lee Bell said he'd know by yesterday about someone incoming.....er.....?
I believe TL signed today
Finally! Glad that's happened. Hope he's fit enough for Saturday. He's just the dynamic figure needed in the midfield - as long as he hasn't lost it.
Also have to hope that Lee Bell starts playing through the midfield now. Otherwise signing a 5'6" midfielder will be an almighty waste of time! The question is: who is he in direct competition with for a place in the team? One player it isn't should be Sanders. If anyone it's likely to be Holicek. This would be a bit ironic considering Matus has been the only midfielder putting in regular performances in the last month or so. It has to be Cabinet. Powell could also be useful if we need to return to midfield passing. It's another conundrum about how to fit him in. A 4-3-3 line up could be a way but I think we're all a bit nervous about that system since Chesterfield. However, with Conway and Cooney not pressing forward as much recently, is it time to change? With that set up and having 3 up front , the Alex could reintroduce some width as long as 2 of the 3 forwards take turns in being in the middle (no point in having 2 fully wide men therefore isolating the number 9).
Not cabinet, Tabiner!!! Bloody auto-correct!
