Airdrie ticket prices

Now to get back on the topic.
The ticket price for an OAP at the Airdrie FC Scottish Cup tie is ?15 which is only ?1 cheaper than the cost of a ticket for a Category B home league game this season which costs ?16.
An adult ticket for the Airdrie FC Scottish Cup tie is ?20 which is ?6 cheaper than the cost of a ticket for a Category B home league game this season which costs ?26.
Therefore in my opinion the cost of a concession ticket for the Airdrie FC Scottish Cup tie should be ?10 especially as season tickets are not valid for this game.
The management of Dundee Football Club will have to publish the correct number of people who attend the game and not the fictitious attendance figures published for League games.

The pricing structure is undoubtedly, as previously discussed on here, due to the 'abuse' of the concessions pricing (I'm told there were dozens turned away each game from the away gates at the Derbies, Celtic and Rangers games for having an underpriced ticket or no student I/d). Still not a bad overall pricing structure for the cup game though, imo.

As far as the stated attendance goes there will, as you say, be no non attending season ticket holder's to count in the crowd. The real thing that affects crowd numbers in cup ties is the simple fact that season's are not valid as they were in the past, certainly in the 60s, but when the current situation started I can't remember. Many having bought a season don't want to fork out any price to see a cup tie. Talking of the 60s and perhaps even after then crowd figures were largely estimated, either a ball park figure given out by the club or an educated guess by the press and usually a round figure. The club don't have to issue any figure at all if they so wish. They only have to share matchday financials with the other club in cup ties and in this case the SFA.

From memory the only season tickets at Dens Park in the 1960?s were in the centre stand with season ticket holders sitting on wooden tip up seats.
Ground season tickets were introduced during the mid 1970?s.
