Chris Wood is 33, signed for Forest in 2023, banged in a hattrick at the weekend and is one of the prem's top scorers. If we'd tried to sign him he'd be past it, legs gone, injury prone etc before he'd even laced up a boot!

He also averages above a goal in every three games and cost 15m quid after being pushed out by Isak who's widely considered one of the best players in the game right now. I get your point, but Wood is no Hugill.
