Bit unfair on Holmes imo. He needs consistent game time to show his ability. He was one I would have shipped out pre season to get the game time elsewhere. His run yesterday past 4 Bradford players showed a glimpse of his ability.
None of the youngsters are getting game time which is all on the pressure the management have found/put themselves in..

Cayton At the moment Holmes is National League standard and that's where he should be playing consistently and learning his trade, as we do not have enough reserve games for him to be here. It says everything about our squad that he is on our bench on a regular basis.

Hugill baffles me, he does not want to be here, it can't be good for moral that he trains with the first team, gets brought on and argues with fans when he is warming up. This is on SE and TS to sort out and should have been sorted in the summer before we started bringing players in. It's an HR matter and a compromise agreement.

I’ve heard that Hughill has been in constant discussions with SE since November. He won’t go. He won’t settle on anything less than a full pay up. I don’t blame him to be honest. TS agreed to the contract and now we have to live with it. He won’t pay up so Hughill is here to stay. Blackstock II. There is one constant in all of this.

My comment is aimed at the rest of the team, not Holmes. It?s all about shifting context.

I think that Holmes might be better if we played 4-4-2 and dump this diamond shape in midfield what leaves us so narrow. You can hear from where we both sit, PR consantly shouting to get narrow. Even Phillips motions with his arms to get narrow..............usually before he kicks it out...lol.
