Thread: Mullen and the trust

  1. #21
There are benefits to being on the board as well as drawbacks. One drawback is this legal issue. You cant be part of the team but also be a pressure group from the outside at the same time. The trust isnt therefore designed to be the kind of organisation that can 100% indepently call the piataks failures or whatever you think they should be saying. If you think that fans as a whole are lacking that kind of joint voice then a seperate organisation should be set up that can be 100% indepdenant. As it is fans have a small stake in the club and can protect its future which even you must see is a benefit. If the negatives that come with it are worth the price of not being independant is another debate.
All these points could be made without calling people hippocrates online. You of course knew of the potenital benefits when you stood to join the board because you would not have stood in an election to join an organisation you 100% disagree with now would you

Hippocrates, I remember a poster elsewhere who spelt it like that.

I stood to be an alternative voice instead of yes men, please look at the league table and tell me the trust are doing a good job.

The trust are complicit in this **** show.

I don?t think I?ll be a member again never mind stand, no longer interested but probably the best thing thst could happen is for it to disappear one way or another.

But I agree a new independent group may be needed, I can see a few not renewing for the trust at the next renewal date.

The trust are just an organisation that owns a small percentage of the club and uses the small influence that gives to have a supporter voice at boardroom level. Thats it. Being on the inside like that means they cant go around calling the piaktaks useless or demanding everyone fans dont like is sacked. They have to work with them and then at the board meeting they can say "the fans are loosing patience with Williamsons style of play" but they cant say "**** YOU GUYS SACK HIM AND GREG AND CLIBBINS AND CLARKSON GO BACK TO USA NOW IM ****TING ON YOUR DESK UNLESS IT IS DONE NOW"
Having a go at the trust for not being a 100% independant voice of protest is like having a go at a microwave for not being a lawnmower

What do you realistically think the trust could have done to improve our league position? Has not doing enough interviews/doing interviews and everyone being hipocrates in your head made us bottom of the league? No!!!

Not being arse lickers to the inept Piataks and not being complicit in choosing a manager, the worst in living memory.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I suppose if you had been elected youd have called them ****ers until they appointed pep

Some of us could foresee the issues and we didn?t need a crystal ball.

    Someone competent will do.

Who would you have appointed? And how would you have convinced the piataks to appoint your man rather than who they wanted as one person on a board of eight of an organisation that has only a 10% steak.
