When are Notts fans going to learn under this recruitment model to not judge players based on experience or age and not to judge after a few bit part appearances off the subs bench?

If some fans can?t trust the process by now I suspect they never will
Exactly this.. some Notts fans seemingly can?t see the plan, the one that was made clear from the outset. Not since the days of Pavis have we consistently sold players for wonga.
Experienced players are all well and good but you need a good mix? I think we have that? platt, Palmer, JJ and Didz give us experience and the rest legs and motivation to improve. What Notts also have is players that we can continue to keep for longer than 1/2 years and beyond? we can actually have a squad that gets built upon rather than dismantled all the time.
We could have done a Mansfield? signed Jordan Rhodes and a load of other ?experienced? players, and some on here would have spaffed in their pants. Manfield are failing and come the summer a massive overhaul will happen? this will be an expensive transition.

Regardless when it was decided. Williams ultimately carried the can for that choice. Also, a club doing that much work on an outcome that was not even guaranteed to come about is the antithesis of one dimensional.

Some of the revisionism of Williams is astounding.
It was a no brainer putting Mair in for the penalties. Slocombe had never saved a penalty throughout his career..

It very easy to say no brainer so far on after the event.

If you said that in the lead up to and on the day, then absolutely fair play Durham. Maybe you are wasted on here.

But I still maintain the fact that Williams has to take credit for still choosing to do it on the day. He is the man who would have had to have answered to everything if we had lost.

I'm curious as to how someone who only joined 6 months ago would know anything about Navy.

Although I think I can guess.

Explain a one trick pony ?

Dont all managers have a method and system they want to play.

Too many stupid cliches in football ie his legs have gone, found out, lost the dressing room.

Reality is mainly you are only as good as your players look at Peppy G.

True some come on here calling the clubs recruitment, always pop up when we lose telling everyone how right they were and then disappear whilst winning longing for another defeat to top up their egos.

Where are you getting this I don?t have opinions on things from? I will clarify things a little for you and give you some more opinions now.

My opinion is Maynard has proven to be a very capable head coach at this level.

I also believe McGoldrick is about as far away from a carthorse as you can get as footballer at this level. I have eyes after all so really not hard to spot.

I think your opinion on McGoldrick less than two months ago that he has had his day and should be sent out to graze was the worst take I have read on here all season. Of course everyone is entitled to have an opinion and state it but you have had an absolute shocker fella with that one. You may not be a fan of stats but he?s joint 4th top scorer in the league and has the lowest minutes per goal of anyone who has scored double figures.

He?s more has the lot than has been.

    And who is Rolf?

I guess Rolf will probably refer to Rolf Harris because of the Aussie connection (but without any sinister insinuation).

. One trick pony when a player only has one way to beat his opponent and when he has been found out he cannot find another way to beat him. Back on to LW he is a good man who ran a very happy ship at Notts County . He played exciting football when most so called football experts stated that that style could not be played by lower league teams. He got the best out of ML and a new way to take corners. He also got us promotion. Why did he leave most people say it was the money but I say there could be another factor to take in to account I think he realised how terrible the defence was and the only way to improve matter was to sack the whole defence but he could not do so till the end of the season which was some time away. With his football stock high he decided it was best for him to go. Now we come to SM he was not liked because he was not LW, no league experience, no Notts fan had heard of Him. He tried to improve the defence but he had no more success than LW he was dealt a bad hand. The Bros had done the usual research they do when looking for new players and he came out as the best man to be the new manager. This is why they backed him when lot of fans wanted him sacked. The Bros have been proved right 2nd in the league with excellent chance of promotion. P.S. glad to see LW had good win today.
