His story is simply unbelievable. Even if he'd tried to keep out of the process, are we supposed to believe that the recruitment team wouldn't have grilled LW about such a new hire that he'd recently been working closely with? As OP67 says, it's more likely that LW and RM were on the phone to each other, cooking this up. That he can say this stuff, apparently expecting everyone to believe it, is simply insulting. Didn't it say he Montague had spent time at the ground watching them train etc...I'm sure luke would ha e seen him sope to him and even might have asked what he was doing there.?
