We have Barnes if you want a focal point of attack. He does not usually miss the target inside the 6 yard box either. Foster is gash.![]()
Has it ever occurred to you that when people post it?s boring it might actually just be that.
For me we wernt quite as bad on Saturday though we don?t have much urgency even at the end when we bed to win the game.
I look at Sheff Utd and they looked at their situation and got two forwards to bag goals - we didn?t
You could argue we signed Edward?s but he looks lightweight for this league to me as is Sarmiento
Foster missed chances but so did Anthony and no one even mentioned them - for me we needed a focal point striker or play foster there and make chances for him - i sometimes read what is written on here and wander if people watch the same games as me - people miss chances all the time because if they scored them all the time they wouldn?t be at Burnley Ings wouldn?t have scored half his goals if it wasn?t for Vokes - Austin the same from Trippier deliveries
They wouldn?t have scored the same amount of goals in this team as we don?t play the way they?d need
Instill think we needed a focal point striker and we?d be better for that.

As good a players as Ashley was for us he?s old slow and not up to the job otherwise he?d be playing and in fairness Norwich would t have released him - he came back to help young lads not get us promoted.
The Foster thing is an obsession and you of all people who stick up for others rights white / black - under privileged etc should know better.
Get behind him instead of criticising him all the time
He needs a goal and he?ll settle down and change but pressure is building on him all the time with people like yourself on his back
In my view we don?t have another forward capable of playing that role ( including Fleming ) and we should have found one in January ( Edward?s as good a player as he is isn?t made for forward play in this league )
It?s a big mistake imo by Parker and the board as I think a front man could have had us competing with Leeds where as now I feel we are off the pace.
I?m looking forward to Friday as I feel now if the manager doesn?t let the reigns off and go and try and win games we?ll be cut adrift in the next few weeks.
If we don?t get top two and or win the play offs the cycle will start again as well have to sell to balance books - some loans won?t stay or want to and next year could be harder all round.
Incidentally you?ll probably get what you want and Foster will be gone.
Who on earth would pay good money for Foster?![]()
I have to admit that Foster should have put two chances away on Saturday and it cost us points, however, let's examine the realities of his season.
He started the matches up until 6 October when he went away and was injured playing for his country.
He then did not start another league game until 17 January having come on as a sub in 4 league games from 26 December and playing just 29 minutes in 17 weeks.
He has started just 7 matches in the 5 weeks since his return and he has provided 2 assists in those games. Two of the games have been against Leeds and Sunderland who must be rated as amongst the better teams in the league and we drew both games.
None of us know just how fit he is, how much the long lay-off will have affected his mental health, which will always be a worry with the majority of injured footballers.
Scott Parker and the rest of the staff see him in training every day and they must consider that he is more than capable of doing his job and they persevere with him because we don't have a real target man, which is something which Scott has had in both his other promoted teams. Milosevic at Fulham and Solanke at Bournemouth both provided someone to cross to and someone who could and would bully defenders and they both scored lots of goals in the promotion season. Truly, because of the modern game, these sort of players are not readily available because they do not fit the modern trend of trying to walk the ball into the net ------the modern fans reckon that this is more entertaining than seeing someone score a great header or a 20 yard shot.
We have been making a decent show with the tools at our disposal, however, there are many things which should have been addressed and they have not been so we are where we are and scott is gettting on with the job and encouraging Foster to keep getting into the positions where you can miss as well as score.
You are as always mein freund, just too nice a person#![]()
What he is Bt is honest he sees it as it is and understands that players don?t just step up and score all the time ( as I?ve mentioned before they would nt be at Burnley for long if they did - Ings - gray as you allure too examples of that ).
It?s a jigsaw really finding the right pieces in positions to score and win more than you lose.
I also think it?s hard to really criticise Foster for everything when he?s not playing his natural role - I mentioned earlier that others miss chances and make bad decisions but don?t receive the same derogatory comments.
Foster won?t stay anyway will he ? Playing left wing and all the crap he gets from fans , another Weghorst eh maybe we can blame everything on him until the next scapegoat comes along.
Probably needs a goal and he will crack on after that.A lot of it is in the head.Flemming and Anthony are just as bad-in fact Anthony is also greedy he could have passed to Foster on Saturday but chose to try and be the hero and missed by a mile.
Going back to Weghorst army88, we were pre-warned from Holland that Weghorst was proving to be a very difficult person to handle at Wolfsburg, so it did not come as a surprise he failed to settle at Burnley.
You hear the rumour mill as much as I do army88 and there are no concerns coming out of Gawthorpe that Foster is a bad apple, he's just not a very good footballer.![]()
