Correct, buy a ticket to be invested.

If you're invested in something you have the right to comment, if not then butt out and keep your views to yourself.

But that's nothing like refusing to contribute to a 'foundation' which is essentially a money grab with no specified target for the funds that are being contributed. It's very easy therefore to say that a percentages of the money donated will go to player funding, ground maintenance, player recruitment, youth academy, other good stuff and staff wages / expenses. Its the staff wages / expenses that's the bone of contention with me as that will include a proportion going to John Nelms' salary which is, in my opinion at least, completely unacceptable.

For a foundation to be successful and effective (my opinion mind) all funds raised via it need to be ring fenced for a specific purpose in the same way the Dee Lottery income is ring fenced for the youth squads. Otherwise it's a charge rather than a foundation.

Let us know when you get banned from Pravda for that insensitive opinion. 😉

We have the biggest armchair support in Scotland.

Although not helped by the surroundings we watch our football in, fire sticks and non promotion of club by nelms........but if it wasn't those 3 excuses there's hundreds more.

Are you sure that the money raised by the Dee Lottery is ring fenced for the Dundee FC youth squads.
Any time I have seen photographs of a presentation of a Dee Promotions cheque on the pitch at half time the cheque is payable to Dundee Football Club which means that it goes into the pot to be divided up for the next season.

The answer to this will be a kill shot.

I don?t know why people take IDB seriously, he posted that he would rather DFC went burst, than new stadium, due to his hatred of Nelmsy.

    Yes - see link below.

You might not believe this but see those big three feet by two feet cheques? They're not actually going to be taken to the bank and cashed, they're what you would term 'for presentation purposes only'.

Ach he's harmless enough and gives me a good laugh at times, he's no idea he's funny mind. His opinions and outlook are stuck in the 1960s, and he's not what you'd call the forgiving sort, but I suppose we all have our flaws.

I agree it should be ring fenced and probably be handed over in bulk in the close season, or January window, but either way if it goes into the club it?s used for the benefit of the club, no one will be getting a wage rise or bonus through it.
It should have been set up after admin 2 to buy back the ground, that?s only my opinion

DFC will only go burst if Tim Keyes stops bankrolling Dundee FC resulting in them having to sell all their assets (players who are contracted to play football for Dundee FC).
The new stadium has nothing to do with Dundee FC but at the Dee4life AGM in November 2023 a member with experience in this field stated that the annual commercial rent for Dundee FC using the new stadium would be higher than their current turnover.
John Nelms crossed a red line for me and I will never forgive him until my dying day for the lies he stated in his letter about my wife and myself’s visit to the Club’s offices at Gardyne.
I seriously considered sending an email to Tim Keyes enclosing Nelms’s letter and complaining about the lies in the letter.
However I decided not to bother in case I got the blame if Tim Keyes decided to stop bankrolling Dundee FC as a result of my letter.
I believe in the well known saying “Every dog has its day” and having owned three dogs I will certainly be having my day.
I used to arrange my trips to Dundee to try to coincide with as many Dundee FC home games as possible but now I do not bother. If DFC are playing at home I will go to game but if not then it is no loss.

Do not teach your granny to suck eggs.
When I worked in the Bank of Scotland we used to hand out these presentation cheques.
On one occasion I obtained a presentation cheque for a charity golf day and a later bowling match between members of Downfield Golf Club and Balgay Bowling club.
A number of Balgay BC members played golf and a quite a few Downfield GC members including myself were members of private bowling clubs including Balgay BC.
I was a member of Lochee Private Bowling Club.
After the end of the bowling match the presentation cheque was handed over and I had to advise the treasurer of Balgay BC who was in charge of the funds raised that he would also have to hand over a Balgay BC cheque as the banks cheque clearing system could not cope clearing a large presentation cheque especially as it had no magnetic encoding strip along the bottom of the cheque.
