I think mellow has a point, but unfortunately as others have stated on the board, the club is privately owned and that owner can run it how he likes including how they deal with the fans and the media. In a way i wonder if TS has changed his approach from when he started. When he first took over we had quite a lot of comms about new academies, training grounds etc etc. None of those things occurred and we do remember and the fans do raise questions about those statements. I suspect he has thought it is best to say nothing or only the minimum required. In my earlier post on this thread I said TS when I meant RS, and it is the RS part of the article that raises more questions for me.
How big is the recruitment function?
    What are they accountable for?
What level of authority do they have?
How do they maintain their knowledge on the latest contractual, legal and regulations associated with the game?
What information does SE give to RS and what is the process used to follow through on SE requests?
How did RS allow the biggest L1 budget to be spent and yet not come out of either transfer window with a full squad?
Do the club think that it is a joint responsibility that the budget has failed to produce a top ten team?
Using the UEFA academy model what target does the club want to achieve and over how long?
Why don't the club offer longer contracts before they move into the last year to our most resalable assets?
Why don't the club protect itself with clauses in the contracts related to availability for players over 30?
What investigation has been carried out by the club to understand why so many injuries occur especially during training and at Roundwood, what was the results?

Now i know nobody will ever ask those questions and certainly the club will never answer them, but it isn't hard to come up with a few questions as a journalist to try and improve the information flow from the club to the fans

Exactly and why should Paul Davis be afraid to ask?
After all he could always write a piece saying these are the questions I asked but the club declined to comment.
At least then supporters would know the Advertiser was actually trying to find out meaningful things instead of just issuing the usual stream of bland, uncontroversial articles every week.

Long posts are waisted on me skip through them. But I believe that we had a top 6 league 1 budget this season & also what Douglas says costs are climbing in the third tier. Recruitment let us down so the blame rests there with Evans Scott why this season looks dead in the water. Stick or twist for next season depends if we've learned anything from it.

What would you learn from anything with that attitude? You glory in ignorance. And then...

When something comes from the horses mouth I listen. What we should have learned from this seasons recruitment is you can't go out & get what looks like a ready made squad going on past achievements with players that have reached the stage of their career's when playing season in season out could take it's toll. Too many part time players in this seasons squad.

Paul Douglas isn?t a CEO. He?s an office manager. A CEO wouldn?t be worried about not getting his ?wage? by speaking out. And here rest the problem with the club. TS makes ALL the decisions. It?s run like a corner shop. Utter joke

Who says he hasn’t asked more questions? Ever heard of “no comment” and by the way don’t print it.

I've just read the Advertiser and apart from the pointless stuff from Douglas which we already knew about, the rest was just the usual fluffy stuff.
If "effort has been made" maybe his school report should read "must try harder."

Paul Douglas, " Don't shoot me, I'm only the messenger "

Tony Stewart, busy winding the gramophone up, for end of season speech.

" We have learnt from past mistakes ", please renew your season tickets.
