They don't like it up em, Capt Mainwaring.

    We certainly do not.

Every team that presses us, and brings it to us, beats us. We just crumble. The manager has to adapt. Stop the funky tactics, and meet fire with fire.

We have a fantastic group of players, who are unfortunately playing reactionary, scared football. Match the energy, be proactive, and stop casually rolling the ball across our own box.

This is happening far too often. If we meekly take it on the chin and carry on, we are DOOMED.

Gaining access to this board has become a serious chore, replying is nigh on impossible for me at this end.

All the best, and good luck folks.

Don't give up mate - we're down to the bare bones!

Tactics - we don't stretch a low block, we allow teams the time to get into their shape by playing slow ponderous boring football. We have mistakes in us every game at the back trying to play through teams and when on the rare occasion we have taken it to the opposition from the off we have looked a real threat.

Every season we lose away to Man C, Liverpool, Newcastle, Palace, ManUre and labour in the smaller stadiums where the crowd factor is higher.

We have some very good players but there are some fundamentals we need to fix - I really hope we go all the way in the FA Cup and lay that one to rest. Rome wasn't built in a day and our squad is the best we have had for some time.

Revisiting this we’ve certainly turned it around. Almost a quarter final CL FA Cup and a stones throw from qualifying from 5th. What a season!

We went through similar on our site. Think it needs folk to stick with it and try to post and it'll come good.

Decent posters on here and worth keeping it going, imo.

Oh mate sad to read this I certainly wish you all the very best. No one really cares to post on this format anymore. I was replying to another topic and logged me out as I posted. Sometimes lets me login other times it just refuses.

I feel we are at a turning point in the season right now. A great ride in the champions league and the FA Cup , a bit disappointing in the league but still in touching distance of European places leaves us on the cusp of achieving a fantastic season but equally it could all go up in a puff of smoke in a couple of weeks.
Hopefully this mini break can mend bodies and refresh minds to stop giving careless goals away. Fingers crossed .

Provided those on international duty come through unscathed we only have Barkley unavailable, Tielemans & McGinn both played 90mins and have a 2nd game which they will no doubt feature heavily in so rotation is key.

We really could do something this season, excellent signings in January gives us loads of options and taking points off those around us is crucial.
