On DUTV you could see there was a lengthy delay to kick off. Both managers were called together by the referee and (it seems) told that the pitch side VAR screen wasn't working and the game would proceed without it.

Right here there's a massive failure because if the game proceeds on this basis how can the referee review incidents if he can't see them on the pitch side screen?
So the decision to disallow the Dalby goal was made solely and exclusively by the VAR team. Why are they getting involved at all?

The game should have gone ahead without VAR, not started with some of VAR working and other parts not. If you can't draw pitch lines with Scottish VAR or review a decision pitch side what exactly are we paying for?

There's no doubt we are getting cheated. I have zero problem with that opinion. We are getting cheated alright. Especially since we wrote publicly about pulling out of the KMI panel.

I don't think we've heard the end of this.

Has it been said the screen was not working ??

We definitely need the audio and the image they say shows the handball was clear and obvious

The fact is that it was not a handball

It?s the worst var decision I have seen in Scotland and seen a lot of very dodgy decision - THIS IS THE WORST !!!!

If there was handball then he would be called to the screen

It?s nowhere near his arm though it?s in middle of Dalby body

None of it makes sense on an innocent basis

Puts me off celebrating a goal now because the officials will just find a way to disallow

It was a goal, and with no evidence presented to him to suggest otherwise he should've stuck to his decision.

I hate VAR, the onfield officials make mistakes and I can accept that. But to add another official sitting in Glasgow refereeing the game through a monitor just needlessly adds to the mix and - as we saw last night - can ruin a good fixture for everyone.

Definitely not working. The protocol would be for the VAR ref to tell the onfield ref that he may have missed a handball and therefore should review the incident pitch side.

I'm pretty sure there's going to be a response from the club about this.
And minimum is we should be asking for the VAR audio to be made available to us.

United have written to the SFA asking for the video and audio discussion which led to the disallowed goal.

Well that's interesting. The problem is that the SFA already have their excuse lined up - the pre-match technical issues with VAR that delayed the kick off, resulted in no recordings being made so no audio or video recordings are available. Something like that?

When will a side have the balls to come together in the centre circle, surround the ref quietly, remove their shirts and simply walk off the park.

Losing a match due to VAR is criminal so walking off and forgoing 3 points is irrelevant.

The total fecking scum at the SFA SPFL and various inbred bodies are culpable, Scotland is too small for all these bodies to hide behind and its a club for life giving a gravy train to shut up.

I am happy United have asked for evidence. If it cannot be given or established then the game should be replayed as there is no method to audit the system and fraud is permitted.

They should have done that with the Curtis main incident, annoyed me they didn't, but it kinda summed up the club at the time, no fight. Saying that, ultimately you have to move on at some point and channel that frustration into a positive energy and getting 3 PTS Sunday. What happened midweek was a disgrace, but it's barely made a ripple in the media, we just have to stuff them all.

I remember someone saying at the time that they had heard the conversation from the Curtis Main incident and that it made quite interesting listening. I actually thought it had been requested and it was going to be released, but then no more was said about it and it just sort of went quiet, as I'm sure will happen this time. We're not one of the big two so the beaks will just shrug their shoulders and say "what do you want us to do?".

This is a pretty good image of the moment the ball made contact with Dalby's head - hard to see how it got anywhere near his hand.

From this article, saying that representatives of the club have met with Willie Collum, with everyone pretty much in agreement that the goal should NOT have been disallowed.
