Thread: Sheep on Sunday

Sore way to win a point wed all have taken.

Subs were wrong imo babunski shouldve been on

Van der Sande Fotheringham just not good enough.

Top 6 will be a great achievement for the season though, europe or not.Sadly europe may have been the only thing to keep Dalby.

I feel we are 3 or 4 players short of being back to competing properly again for 3rd to 6th but hope we keep enough of a nuclueus its not a rebuild job.

    Take the draw move on

Before the match, 100% behind you there bud, but after the first half, we really should have went on to win that.

Think there has been a couple of individual errors in the defending there, and maybe this is a consequence of Holt having been sold. All of a sudden we actually do look a defender and midfielder short due to injuries.

I've honestly not enjoyed a half of football as much as I did that first half for a long time, which is why I'm gutted we've dropped two points. I thought the ref was weak as piss in that first half, and I'd love to know why the VAR team didn't see the clear elbow in the face on Sevelj, or maybe I already know why.

The game doesn't last 45 minutes, there are two halves and you need to play in both. I'm not daft though, given how close we were to the end when they equalised, yeah, we should have seen it out.

If you'd asked me before the game I'd have taken a draw, for sure. So, as frustrating as it panned out, it's still a great result.

We were fatigued that was the main thing, not helped by not playing enough football second half, was all them apart from the odd wee attack unlike first half

Ferry was also a big miss, his energy second half would have been ideal for getting up the park more

A point at Pittodrie isn't terrible (with Holt away, Ferry out, Docherty out, Moult out and Gall off injured) just a sickener when 2 up but at no point did I think the game was won the way the second half was going and how we were flagging, boys going down with cramp etc, there was too long left when they scored the first one, I feared defeat at that stage, expected 2-2

Didn't realise he couldn't make any more subs either at that point, certainly he never made defensive changes and he played the wide players we were calling for, but energy levels were a factor

Yeah, the 1st half was enjoyable. Traps was quiet initially, then put in a couple of good crosses one of which led to the Dalby goal. He even took on a player and beat him - something I'd like to see him do more of. But he's always inclined to turn inside. I'd like to see him take on the player then deliver from the by line.

Think Jim went too defensive after the break. 45 mins is a long time to hold out for a win away from home, even with a 2 goal advantage. He eventually got a couple of players up the park and it made a positive difference. But, ultimately, I feel like it's 2 points dropped.

Would I have taken a draw. Probably.

First half great. 2nd poor. We can?t keep putting in one good half performance.

Far too defensive in the 2nd half. V sande and Kia were no where as good as trap and sibs and it showed. If the 3rd goal stood. Its a different game.

JG plan was to obviously sit deeper 2nd half, and counter, which is frustrating because we could have won that. The defending for the 2 goals was poor. Hopefully Gallacher and ferry are back for the derby.

The defeat and performance to Killie, and second half today will likely be huge blows to our final position. To me Goodwin has gone far too negative since and including the Scottish cup game when he put Holt in midfield, too late making attacking changes too.

Couldn't say it was a defensive line up today, but second half today we got what we deserved, I actually think it was a combination of the players, managers subbies and injuries taking their toll. That is the brightest trap has been in a while, think he got taken off to early, and sent the wrong message, but even before the changes the players stopped doing what they were doing first half, loss of Holt and ferry big blow, no disrespect to Stephenson who did well. And lack of replacement for sibbald was a big problem. Dochertys abseenses keep hurting us, we need a replacement who is available, I'd have put bubunski on.

One other thing I'd say, we've been crying out for pace in the team for what feels like about 10 years! Would have made big difference to have a pacey guy up top second half to get ball up pitch.

Free week might be blessing for injuries.
