    Oz,

    respectfully disagree.

Our politicians make the Greeks look like pikers. While percentage wise they might be just as corrupt the difference is commas. Ours like to add a couple of commas in their grifts. Ours takes millions and billions. They also have a $37,000,000,000,000 debt along with another $100,000,000,000,000 in unfunded liabilities such as pensions, bonds, housing etc that they've contractually committed to but not funded. States like Illinois have more debt and unfunded liabilities than Greece could ever even dream of. They certainly have the ethics and morals to be world class grifters but they just don't have enough money to steal from their citizens to play with the big boys! They also haven't mastered the art of committing unfunded liablities that will never be paid off by future generations.

I disagree you might think yours is worse but population wise you won't come close. When I left Greece population was 16 mil a couple years ago it was 12 mil as i look now it's 9,938,844 and a lot of them are ring ins from Afrika and middle east. 80 percent of income goes to the corrupt politicians' own pockets while f all goes back into society. Greece won't be around as we know it in 50 years. Greeks are declining everywhere we sort have given up to corruption. Like I said before in australia there was over 1 mill hard working middle class people now there is only 108k left. Very hard to walk around and find another greek to talk too.

I've never seen actual government cuts in my lifetime. It's truly amazing that the world or democracy has not ended yet like has been predicted. I guess that might happen when all of the ice melts.

it would perfect if the IRS just audited every sitting politician. Just a standard audit like they do to us muggles regularly. I expect some rather big penalties would come out of that. Many of them owe millions in back taxes but don't pay them. Jail time in a super max seems a good solution.
Where you getting these figures from, hopefully it?s not from that debt clock site. The ?Wall of Receipts? was found to be riddled with mistakes (again) I thought.

Ohh we don't see any tax cuts here but we sure as hell see a lot of job cuts. Looks like the liberals after screwing the economy are coming back in a months time. There policies give the rich corporations free lunch's on tax payer funds.Sack 36k public government jobs only to give 4 times the money to their friends corporations to run things just as they did when they were in power 3 years ago and the corruption came out.
I live in a small country town and all small towns vote nationals partners of the liberals, I asked a few the other day how many years have you voted for them and reply was ever since I know so forever. I then Asked in that time can you name 5 things that they have done for your town? Reply hum hum hum hum hum not really I can't think of any. So next question why do you keep voting for them? Humm I don't know we always have been nationals.
I can't believe how people are so stupid and they will be the first ones to complain about everything.

Ok so this was on a trusted current affairs program here and its called the Tobacco wars .
The crooks have set up shops everywhere selling illegal smokes for a THIRD OF THE PRICE OF NORMAL. Ok so I smoke a packet of 20s at 34.95 a packet AU 30 of that goes straight to the government.
They were asked you cant control the illegal market That's the crooks you let in the country in the first place. Why don't you cut the taxes and excise so people can afford the legal ones? Ohh no we can't do that as we have 20% of people that smoke and we want them to stop lol What a lot of BS they only care about how much they will lose.
Journalist than asks well don't you think all you taxes are the cause of the illegal industrie? And that 20 % is off isn't it? As most people buy the cheaper illegal so they don't count on your statistics? Well we can't see that hum hum and we have no control over it lol What a bunch of ****ers.
This are the people that have ruined a once prosperous young country, Since 75 the population has increased from 16 mil to 27 mil and 7.5 mil from the 11 increase are Middle eastern indians and chinese. And we all know what they bring have posted my views before.
Australia is number one on taxes for smokes beer and petrol in the world.

Who determined that the US debt clock was "full of errors"?

The same people that grift the system?

The US debt clock has been around for 20 years. Never been a question of it's veracity until someone decided to try to address the debt and size of government. All of a sudden it's inaccurate.

However, you are correct. it's totally inaccurate since it does not include unfunded liabilities which some have estimated to be 2-3 times higher than the actual debt shown on the USdebtclock. States like CA, IL, NY, NJ and MA have 10's of billions in underfunded pensions as well as local municipal debt that is not included in the US national debt. The pension liability will be greater than the entire tax revenue brought in by some of these states within the next 10 years. Like social security they are technically insolvent by standard pension accounting measures but since they are government they aren't required to correct the imbalance.

You've seen the chaos it's created to even attempt to cut the size of growth in the US government. They aren't "cutting government" they are merely shrinking the size of growth from the previous budget.

I think it's pretty obvious that this debt will never be paid in our lifetime and likely never.

I, for one, have no interest whatsoever in playing any form of Big Brother, but personal vindictive that deliberately evades the more obvious filtering processes should have no place on an essentially open forum and will be dealt with accordingly.

Disagree. Maybe even be disagreeable in the process. Keep your personal insults to yourselves.
Strange that the use of certain terminology or words attracts different reactions depending on the context. Newcomers to this forum are regularly greeted with the "welcome newbie cnut", and everyone has a wry smile and all is well with the world.

Use the word spelt correctly, and aimed at a person who has been a member of the forum for some time and despite the sincerity of the expression being levelled, I am to take it that it isn't acceptable.

    So be it....

Is a 24-carat solid gold C U N T and should get down on his bended knees and apologise to the comrades, friends and families of each and every one of the over 600 BRITISH troops who fell in active duty alongside their American comrades in Afghanistan and elsewhere The man isn't fit to lick the soles of their boots. He can't weasel his way out from this, only Britain & France have offered troops to any peace-keeping force in Ukraine.

Ban me, redact/edit what I've posted here, it won't change the truth of what I have written.

    ???

The guy was a military journalist on the front line in Iraq and you are going on about his being unfit to lick boots. He's the only US VP to have been in combat...even if in a journalist role. The kill rate on journalists in the military is pretty high. They are soft targets.

You don?t seem to understand that most on here don?t want bans thrown out, as all a little bit more grown up than that.

However, you have form for being rude, sometimes to the point of downright offensive, want your view to be always right and argue endlessly with anyone who expresses a contrary view.

To misquote a Roy Keane comment - at times you are such a (cry) baby.

It?s noticeable when you are flouncing how many more people post freely but don?t when you are posting regularly.

Maybe just calm down the tone and the rhetoric and also remember at some point over the last 10 years you have insulted or annoyed most on here so not everyone will be sympathetic when you bleat.

Some of the self proclaimed truth is eerily similar to what a certain politician across the pond does whom you seem to dislike.

Pretty clear you rarely want to add constructively to the forum which is a pity as sometimes you make very insightful posts between the other stuff or offer a contrasting view.

I'm pretty sure the US Vice President rarely posts on here. He's certainly not doing at all well in either of the prediction competitions.

That wasn't the point of my earlier reply. And you obviously know it.
