Nathan Jones celebrated his 50th game in charge along with the fans with another fine win against a tricky fixture in Barnsley and a home clean sheet.

Macaulay Gillesphey aka Macca netted his second goal early in the first half from a well worked clever free kick dummied by Luke Berry, Macca sneaking it in under the Barnsley wall.

Davis Keillor-Dunn then came close for Barnsley in forcing Will Mannion to make a save with his legs. Campbell and Small also had chances in the first half.

In the second half, the visitors barely troubled the Addicks defence. Campbell, Berry, Small and Docherty had further chances. Conor Coventry forced a save from the Barnsley GK, Smith, who also kept out a goal-bound a Leaburn shot.

Charlton saw out the game professionally and now find themselves moving up to 5th in League One.
