Pauling has a 48% SR over the last two weeks, so you have to take notice of anything he runs today. It's a tricky race and I'm already on Surrey Quest and The Kniphand without any great confidence in either, so I'll just have to watch it run Alfie, best of luck with it.

It's entered in the Coral Cup, 2.40 on the Wednesday Chalkie, currently 12/1 with several bookies. The Irish are coming over mob handed for it so Alto is by no means a certainty.

One thing to bear in mind Chalkie, the bookies are paying EW on the first 4 at the moment, on the afternoon/night before and on the day most bookies will be paying on the first 6, some possibly on the first 7. I've got half my stake on now, I'll put the rest on the night before when they'll be paying first 6/7.

I am presuming that you mean online bookies? I have not got an online account do I will just put the bet on at my local bookies on the day,I didnt even know that they changed the ew placing if im honest,I thought that if a race has X amount of runners then the thst dictates how big the ew placings are,all very interesting though tbf so thanks for thst 😎

I do all my betting online Chalky but the High St bookies like Ladbrokes, Hills, Boylesport, Betfred etc will be offering enhanced place terms on the day. In a 16+ runner handicap they have to pay on the first 4 but they can pay out on more places if they choose to and in the big handicaps they do.

Alto has been taken out of the Coral Cup, don't know why, maybe they have a race at Aintree in mind.
