    Final position?

6 points behind 3rd. 3 points clear of 8th. 5 of our remaining games against top 7. Still to play Grimsby as well. Very tight and not easy to predict. At the moment I'm aware of who we've to play but not sure who in the top 10 have to play each other.
We seem to be hitting form and good footballing performances at just the right time. How good can we be? Do we have enough to catch Donny, considering we have to play them? Could the final match of the season against Walsall be a ***** decider?
So, with 12 games to go where do you think we'll finish?

I can see us finishing 5th with a play off against them down the road.

    4 x weeks ago, I posted
    REVISED Feb 7th 2025
UP - Bradford City, Doncaster, Walsall
PLAYOFFS - AFC Wimbledon, Port Vale, Chesterfield, Notts County
DOWN - Carlisle and erghhhhh Tranmere
    CREWE 9th missing out.

Let's see how March goes for the Alex, tough month and into April.

Walsall, must be thankful they had such a lead, but will find form again. Swindon the dark horse for playoffs, but possibly too far back as 3 x wins only gets them to our current position.

I'm all of a sudden feeling a bit more optimistic again. I still think that it boils down to our less robust players, shall we say, being largely available or not. If we have have reasonably good game time from them I see us in the playoffs, I'll plump for 6th place. Interesting times ahead and I was thinking about last Saturday, assuming that Lankaster was 100% fit who would have missed out? A difficult but nice position to be in.

If we were to continue the style of play that creates chances like on Saturday, then I think there's every right to be optimistic. It's definitely in our own hands as we've got to play nearly all those above us. I see us putting a dent in Bradford's run but that's a bit down the line yet.
We have to win games like tonight (Fleetwood) to keep in with a shout and make some draws wins.
However I'm currently going for fourth. I think our low goal scoring rate will stop us doing any better. But I might feel differently in a couple of weeks time😁

Maybe, after watching last night and with the possibility of Lowery missing, I'll go back to my original prediction of 9th🙁

    Play-offs are definitely achievable...

Just hope we can avoid Donny

I don't think we'll do any worse in our games against teams above and around us. We'll probably do 50/50, which teams won't pull away or overtake. Beware Cheltenham another potential mid-table disappointment. So I think we should make the play-offs but not sure we will. How long until Mickey is back???
