Got talking to Robert Plant former Led Zeppelin front man as he was walking past H Samuels near top of The Moor in Sheffield May 1981. He was due to appear with The Honeydrippers at the Limit Club on West Street later that evening.
AC/DC; Whitesnake; Blue ?yster Cult; Slade + various others at Monsters of Rock Donnington Park 1981.

Seen Stipe a couple of times, really good. Will look out for nirvana uk, surprised I've not been aware of them. Went to see very good Meat Loaf tribute last night called MaetLive which were great. Fat singer, quite northern comedy style, but great voice doing justice to great rock n roll tunes.
Also tonight went to see show called Punk Off, great tribute to punk and new wave scene. About 40 odd brilliant songs off the time crammed into 2 hour show. Lots of old punks in the one off west end show losing it at the encore!
Next up, ABBA Voyage for wife's birthday. 3rd year in the trot. Brilliant show. Looking forward to seeing Sparks touring a new album on May and just booked to see the reformed *** Pistols with Frank Carter supported by The Stranglers and Buzzcocks in Margate in August.
All depressingly retro but **** it. Went to see Fontaines DC recently. Great gig but too lively near the front for me! Had to retreat! Sign of age.
Always amazed at how much Raging Pup gets out for live music. Good on you, pal.
It?s been ages for me - probably Brian Wilson and Chicago double bill concert was the last one in Concord CA a couple of years ago.
I?m in UK at the moment and thinking of seeing an excellent folk singer and guitarist Si Barron at Dorking Folk Club on March 26
Last one was James at Scarborough open air theatre.
Next one is Paul Heaton at Bramall lane.
Would have loved to have gone to Hyde Park early July to see Neil Young along with Cat Stevens and Van Morrison but my other half's mobility has taken a turn for the worse and going without her is not an option
Pet Shop Boys in Hannover and Bruce Springs**** at Wembley last summer.
This year I've got Simple Minds in June and then Olivia Dean and Sam Fender in August.
Full disclosure: I also saw Taylor Swift at Wembley last summer, but only because I was offered some hospitality tickets.
I was very old and very male when compared with the average audience member.
My daughter is a 'Swiftie' and would give my back teeth to see her live. As compromise, got her/us tickets to see Taylor Mania, an apparently very good tribute in the summer. She'll have to make do wi that.
That's a blow Lincs, I dread the days when gigs aren't an option. Always go for standing near front but also have had spinal issue which has develop sciatica so having to weigh up the gig vibe aganst the amount of pain it causes! Age is a bugga innit?
