The biggest takeaway from them is we create the most chances and miss the most chances (a relatively obvious correlation) and I would say when you apply the eye-test vs statistical analysis, that is an observation most fans would make too.

The observation I would make is that we are second from bottom of the current form table, we can come up with lots of fancy words but no-one can say that is not a problem.

Generally speaking, an owners most successful period comes early-mid before a collapse and the owner stepping down/selling up. Dunnett is the standout exception as his peak came fairly late in the day, though that was on the back of a lengthy spell in tier 2 before the final push.

We are still at the point where one good result (including tonight) could pivot us back on track, but after last season's collapse a repeat of that would surely throw the cards up in the air and you can't rule any out any scenario then.

I remember when we were still in tier 5, quite a few on here were insisting they were reserving funds for when we got back in the FL and then we'd really see a statement of intent from the bros. Similar to how the statement of intent was anticipated with their first managerial appointment once Ardley had exhausted his use for "steadying the ship whilst they got their feet under the table". It seems pretty obvious to me now that there will never be an injection of serious cash from them whilst substantial income from the best gates in 30 years isn't having much impact at all other than keeping us afloat.

I do not disagree that we are having a poor run at the moment, and that is a worry, coupled with some lacklustre performances. The data is simply some more context from an approximation of a Brothers-eyed view as the thread is about sacking Maynard.

I've been crying out for SM to get a bit of help.

Intriguingly, the club has put up an interview with JOB reflecting on last season's 5-5. If JOB is around Meadow Lane a bit more, I'll be very happy indeed.

Also, was a little surprised from the Didzy interview to read just how much a confidence player AJ seems to be - I guess many strikers are. I reckon the next ball to go in off the bar will see him add quite a few more in rapid succession.

I am not sure we have seen an approach like the Reedtz before if we have it?s rare so hoping they buck the trend of success being obtained in the first half of an owners period in charge.

Have the owners spent more on the club whilst in tier 4 than 5, I presume so with the millions spent on the pitch and the Nest etc. what is the total spend since they came in, did I see ?12m the other day once the latest accounts came out. That sounds like serious cash for a National League and now League Two club to me.

You could be right that maybe on the transfer front they will never spend BIG like other clubs have. They have increased their spend since being in this league but that?s due to fees being received since getting into the League Two. They have only spent a proportion so would guess they are net positive on ins and outs.

The best gates in 30 years is continually worth mentioning. A very good barometer of progress
