Really I dont hear many chants for him to go a forum isnt a good reflection.

Our owners arent stupid firing him now is a huge risk and could massively backfire.

I believe you give someone the chance I mean you need a full season to really put your stamp on things.

Maybe he isnt in the dugout next season but he will be here for this season.

Good post, my thoughts exactly and I'll add Jarvis is starting to look better,, willing to take players on and beat them, looked a brilliant side foot finish from wear I sat.

I predict the "lack of urgency" phrase that was popularised to the point Stallard and Charlie were using it towards the end of Burchnall's spell will be making a comeback soon enough if we can't maintain an automatic position with the 2nd biggest crowds in the division (likely to be the highest next season if Bradford go up and we don't).

Yes maybe but that wasnt the case today we played much quicker.

Also though they needed to win so sitting back was not an option which helps us we didnt take our chances first half.

We need more pace out wide next season its a glaring weakness.

"Lack of urgency" referred to the owners apparent lack of urgency to get Notts promoted, or certainly did when Charlie and Stall used it and when referenced on here. Though granted that deficiency being translated into the team was likely much more apparent under Burch than now.
I didn't watch the whole game today but from what I saw, the players looked reasonably up for it and it was an engaging old fashioned derby, especially towards the end of the 1st half.

Pretty simple really, it's down to the only people to step across that line - the players. I thought that about half the team weren't up to snuff

Macari - needs to start attacking his career, he plays like he's frightened to make a mistake
Platt - needs to ensure he does the basics and not throw an afternoon's good work away by losing his man or the ball
Palmer - needs to actually lead this team, show passion and inspire others to do their jobs, and not get a nose bleed when he gets it near goal himself
Tsaroulla - needs to deliver something, anything, sometime
Jatta - needs to take responsibility for taking chances, and make sure he bags one if many have been missed before

Typical local derby could have gone either way and mistakes cost us.
