    Tino

Just read that this is the first game in his Liverpool career that Salah neither had a shot nor created a chance. Is that true?

Take a bow Tino and Dan.

Wouldn't surprise me. In the Sky commentary they mentioned in both the first and second halves that he had only 2 or 3 touches of the ball in the last 20 or 25 minutes. Peripheral would be overemphasizing his impact on the game. Dan Burn had him in his pocket - Tino had the job of bombing forward and exploiting the space behind Salah as Salah had no interest in tracking back - it was a weakness in the Liverpool setup that we exploited from the first minutes - a high risk strategy but one that worked to a tee

It?s true, he only had 23 touches and this was the FIRST EVER game for Liverpool where he has played 90 minutes that he hasn?t either had a shot on target or provided an assist.

I thought Tino was immense, working with Burn to keep Salah in his pocket and being a massive threat down the flanks, time after time, all game!

I have thought during the season that Tino had maybe back-tracked a bit? I say that becasue originally he was the one who came in and got a chance and took it during the CL/Injury hell season? but his confidence seemed to have been knocked and the chances he had got on the right haven?t been massively successful, especially when you hold them up to how Lewis Hall has developed? but yesterday was the Tino we saw during the CL season who was solid in defence and aggressive and quick on the attack.

Glad Trips is here for another season, he was another who made a massive difference to the overall calmness and confidence (him and Tonali), Big Joe and Bruno showed the passion and determination, I could eulogise over every player to be fair? but got to mention Pope? pulled off a couple of cracking saves and played as big a part in the result as anyone.

Nice to see Wilson pick up a medal seeing as he?s all but off - and cooking things down at the end of the game and his game management were critical at that point in the match, same for Longstaff getting a medal, if he does leave too? and if he wants games he?ll have to go.

A big shot in the arm and only league games to focus on and a push for CL qualification, with Top 5 spots almost guaranteed given our co-efficient standing and still having 5 teams left representing the league across the 3 competitions.

Tino was absolutely immense yesterday. On his wrong side, too.
