Simply not happening even if the likes of Arsenal could afford who they are supposedly interested in. Premier league players these days are earning so much whoever they play for, even if it be the likes of Bournemouth or Brentford that it doesn't really matter if x or y club can offer a bit more. If you are made to feel at home, and it is very clear that our players are at the moment, then there is little reason to leave, especially if you are able to win things as we have just done.
Great to hear Trips after the game saying people said he left Atletico for us because of the money. He said he went to Newcastle for less money.
The myth that our club spends billions and can buy success is surprisingly entrenched among supporters of other clubs. If any of the 14 or so decide to wake up and make a real challenge they may regret their recent support of the cartel.

Henry was a bit of a knob - kept going on about Bruno?s mistake for their goal.
(IMO Isak is a better all round player than him too).

They actually have dignity to do it properly.

Remember when Chelsea did it few years back, pathetic

    Yes indeed!

    Still drinking it all in!

Superb absorbed every bit of fan channel content and the MSM through gritted teeth giving begrudging credit.

The win changes the psychology of the players, squad, club, fans and city. We will go to finals knowing how to win and that we can win.

For Eddie Howe, it just reaffirms what we already know. He's now a proven winner and will go on to be a serial winner here with NUFC.

Great to see. Best time in history to be a Newcastle fan.

'Never let the truth get in the way of a good lie'.

It's amazing to still hear other fans repeat this drivel. One hand the MSM mock us for 'Being the richest club in the world but can't spend money because of PSR' whilst at the same time 'We're right up against PSR limits and are facing fines and points deductions, for flashing the cash and overspending'...

You have to be a special kind of stupid to not see how contradictory those two points are.

    So dumb!

    Like drinking in nectar today.

I am not celebrating so much winning the Cara cup, more celebrating getting the monkey off our back.

A lot of opposition fans will have a load of matchday songs taken out of their hymn sheet in one swoop.

Top 4/5 will make this a special season.

I have to say, the Liverpool fans and fans in general are in the main magnanimous about it - they get it. They have played a lot of minutes this week and it showed. Something like 300.

Can I just say that Tonali was a rock. I haven't felt so confortable watching a player in possession in a long time. He had a confident "I got this" aura all game. Classy moves always making good decisions, always in position, interceptions, blocks, tracking, covering passes, covering ground efficiently and moving at good angles, dribbing in tight areas to get out of trouble and unloading to a team mate. He did a lot of unseen work yesterday.

Makes a f**king massive difference winning it doesn?t it 😁

Must have watched hours of interviews and pundits since the win, after a loss I would avoid it like the plague, now I am prepared to have a mainline IV of the stuff put in place 🤣
