Israel has carried out “extensive” air strikes in Gaza in its heaviest bombing raid since the fragile ceasefire with Hamas began.

Defence minister Israel Katz said Israel has “resumed fighting” and promised that “the gates of hell will open in Gaza” until all remaining hostages are released.

The war criminals go again. Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip killed at least 200 people early on Tuesday, Palestinian health authorities said, in what officials described as the most intense attack since a ceasefire came into effect in January.

The strikes targeted dozens of locations across the enclave, including Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis, and Rafah. The Israeli military said it would continue its operations for as long as necessary and signalled that the offensive could extend beyond airstrikes, raising the prospect of a renewed ground assault. Sickening and I hope the airstrikes kill the remaining hostages.

Agence France-Presse reports that a top Hamas official has said that Israel decided to sacrifice its hostages by re-launching massive military operations in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

Benjamin “Netanyahu’s decision to resume war is a decision to sacrifice the occupation’s prisoners and impose a death sentence on them,” Hamas official Izzat al-Rishq said in a statement, adding that the Israeli premier was using the fighting as a political “lifeboat” to distract from internal crises.

They have already blown 50,000 people to bits, utterly devastated Gaza and the illegal settlers are rampaging through the West Bank.
