    Well Done the Toon.

    Well done Newcastle.

A good watch today and well deserved.

I recall back along we had a good connection with the Geordies. A good old lovein with mutual respect and some fine banter.

The saddest thing is most clubs don’t actually takes the competition seriously until they are in the semis or the final.

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the game today.

With two ex Baggies in the team as well. Well done Harvey Barnes and Jacob Murphy. Glad to see the bin dippers with long faces!

Can’t say I that I am particularly interested/bothered. Jack Draper’s achievement has been far more creditworthy than all the OOT reaction I am seeing and hearing about Newcastle. Sorry.

I thought the Geordie fans were brilliant. It looked like everyone of them bought a scarf for the final. I was quite nervous for them after Liverpool pulled one back. Glad they won.

Pleased for Newcastle who deserved their win but not buying into all the hype. I think it's more about that very British thing of rooting for the underdog which is what Soulman was saying.

No mean feat to get to 7th in the world rankings. (Getting in the top 100 is an incredible achievement)

I imagine most of us on here were fairly indifferent to this match ? Certainly the Toons edge my indifference their way.
However, I felt the ridiculously extended VAR intervention following Liverpool’s early extra time goal impacted their progress.
Inevitability Liverpool were fired up and undoubtedly would have maintained a very high momentum had there not been such a delay before the game continued.
The immediate momentum generated was dissipated and whilst Liverpool pressed I believe they may well have overcome Newcastle had the match restarted without such a delay.
I felt quite sorry for them (wink wink)

I was indifferent to who won, couldn't really choose who to support and so although it was on, can't remember much about it. I'm sure all Geordies will be over the moon.

Meanwhile I'm sure the Toon will be willing us on to victory should we make the playoffs. Or maybe they'll still be too p iss Ed from celebrating post Wembley to give a s hit one way or the other 😃 .
