If we don't go up and lose in the play offs then I fully expect him to proudly push the point (well into next season) that he improved us by 7+ places, conveniently overlooking the fact we were 6th when he took over, not 14th as we were at the end of the season.
It will be the equivalent of a weightlifter's trainer removing all the weights, then the weightlifter lying down and strenuously lifting the pole with nothing on it and his trainer then boasting he's made him stronger.
